Royal Enfield Classic 500 Scrambler - IAB Rendering

Based on the recent spy media, IAB's Shoeb R Kalania has come out with a rendering of the Royal Enfield Classic 500 Scrambler. The Royal Enfield Classic 500 Scrambler was spotted road testing for the first time in India on 5 December.

The digital version of the Royal Enfield Classic 500 Scrambler features knobby tyres at both the ends and an upswept exhaust. It receives a tall and wide handlebar with a centre brace, short fenders at both the ends and rubber gaiters for the front telescopic forks. Similar to the test mule, the pillion seat has been replaced with a rear parcel rack. The visual artist has illustrated a second Royal Enfield Classic 500 Scrambler with luggage fittings on the fuel tank and the rear carrier.
While there are no details on the launch plans of the Classic 500 Scrambler, the company could also be testing an early prototype of the BS VI compliant engine. The Classic 500 Scrambler is at best a supporting act, considering that Royal Enfield already has the Himalayan in the stable to take care of adventure touring and off-roading.

The Classic 500 Scrambler has a relaxed upright riding posture, which should aid trail riding. While the power figures are unknown at the moment, we don't expect them to be any different from the Classic 500. The BS4-compliant 499cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected motor on the Classic 500 produces 27.5 PS of power and 41.3 Nm of peak torque, mated to a five-speed transmission.
