5 Mistakes New Drivers Should Avoid

5 Mistakes New Drivers Should Avoid #1: Predicting the Road There are many confusing situations in a driver’s life, and some are even misleading for experienced people. So, as a new driver, it’s very important to practice caution when you are on the road. However, since most people get their license when they’re teenagers, it’s difficult to preach caution and have them actually employ it. This is why  stupid accidents happen  by failing to correctly interpret a sign or by forgetting that roads can get slippery when temperatures start to drop. Not to mention, there are areas where the road is barely regulated but many new drivers feel it’s OK to speed up. The number one mistake a new driver can make is forgetting the world is unpredictable. #2: Estimating Speed It takes a while for your brain to understand the change of speed, regardless of the fact that you are used to the idea since you’ve probably been a passenger in a car before. However, when you’re the one driving

A Guide to Spare Tyre Options

A Guide to Spare Tyre Options As a safe motorist, it’s your job to expect the unexpected. On Australia’s roads, other drivers will do things you never dreamt of, poor road conditions will sometimes take you by surprise, and you’ll have to deal with the occasional flat tyre. With a bit of preparation, however, those flat tyres don’t have to mean waiting for roadside assistance. In this guide, you’ll learn everything you should know about spare tyres, and you’ll learn which options are available for when you have a flat tyre. Full-Size Spares Offer a Longer-Term Solution With full-size spare tyres, you’ll have to buy an extra wheel and tyre when purchasing one of the  wheels and tyre packages available on the market. The biggest benefit of having a full-size spare tyre is that it provides more than a temporary fix; simply put it on your vehicle in place of the flat tyre, and go on with your day. However, full-size spare tyres do come with a significant space requirement. I

However, six loyal employees - Mick Cristaldi, Brad Saffin, Glen Jones, Bill Northcott, Mike Fowler and Andrew Booth - decided to take that reputation to another level, all for a good cause, by entering the 2018 Fennell Forestry Truck Pull Challenge. Held at the Glenburnie Saleyards near Mount Gambier, South Australia on Saturday, October 13, Fennell Forestry has raised more than $100,000 for the Variety Club of South Australia since the event began six years ago, with $25,000 raised this year alone. CSIRO BULLISH ON HYDROGEN AS FUEL ALTERNATIVE

CSIRO BULLISH ON HYDROGEN AS FUEL ALTERNATIVE Electric vehicle submission sees natural gas working in shorter term for trucks The CSIRO sees serious electric propulsion impacts taking a little while The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) has nailed its colours to the mast of hydrogen gas for future transport propulsion, along with other uses, in its submission to the Senate Select Committee on Electric Vehicles. The independent Australian federal government agency is already involved in electric power and alternative fuels  as the battle for emission-less transport, involving hydrogen-focused fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV) and battery electric vehicles (EV) including for trucks, continues to gain heat. But for commercial transport, the CSIRO indicates more conventional gas and other efficiencies will dominate as alternatives in the medium term.
