Royal Enfield year-on-year domestic sales tumble for nine consecutive months Royal Enfield reported negative year-on-year sales performance for the ninth consecutive month in July, of 22%. It is also the sixth consecutive time that the Chennai-based brand has reported a double-digit decline in the year-on-year sales numbers. The domestic sales crashed by 27%, and Royal Enfield sold 49,182 units in July 2019 as against 67,001 units in the corresponding month last year. Exports continued to provide solace. The Chennai-based brand sold 5,003 motorcycles in the international markets in July this year, against 2,062 units in the same period last year. The company has been reporting negative sales performance since November last year. Incidentally, that happens to be the same month when  Classic Legends re-introduced Jawa Motorcycles  in our market. CHEVROLET CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE, C8.R RACE CAR EXPECTED THIS FALL Soon, we'll see the  Chevrolet Corvette convertible  in its full topless glory. On its social media and YouTube accounts,  Chevrolet  indicated the convertible will debut this fall alongside the C8.R race car We've seen this footage of the convertible and race car before, but now  Chevy  is captioning it with "to be revealed fall 2019" on YouTube. We don't have any specs yet on the Corvette convertible; we just know from the photos it will be a good-looking car. The drop-top will use the same potent 6.2-liter V-8 engine, but it will likely offer less cargo space than the coupe's 12.6 cubic feet. It's quite possible the convertible will also be thousands of dollars more expensive than the C8's   sub-$60,000 starting price. Now,  Audi  has announced the performance-oriented midsize sedan will start at $74,895, making it $2,020 more expensive than the previous iteration. The  Audi S6  undercuts the 2020  BMW  M550i, which starts at $77,645. But that car features 523 hp instead of the Audi's 444 hp. 2020 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500 DIESEL GETS 33 MPG HWY Chevrolet  has released EPA fuel economy numbers for the new  diesel-powered Silverado 1500 , and they're impressive. The  2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500  with the 3.0-liter Duramax engine delivers up to 23/33 mpg city/highway. This number puts it ahead of the  2019 Ford F-150  diesel, the most economical  Ford  truck at 22/30 mpg. When opting for four-wheel drive instead of rear-wheel drive, fuel economy on the Silverado diesel drops to 23/29 mpg, but it's still ahead of a comparable F-150 diesel at 21/28 mpg. The current  Ram 1500  Classic diesel nets 20/27 mpg, but these numbers are practically irrelevant given that the automaker is coming out with a brand new 2020 EcoDiesel. Fuel economy has not yet been announced for the  new Ram 1500 EcoDiesel , so we don't know if  Chevy  will be able to hold its claim to best-in-category fuel economy.
