RUSSIAN RETRO FORD MUSTANG EV PROMISES 840 HP

RUSSIAN RETRO FORD MUSTANG EV PROMISES 840 HP The  Ford Mustang  is of course an all-time classic, and the 1967 fastback is one of our favorite versions of the long-running icon. Now a Russian company has designed a fully electric take on the '67 called the Aviar R67, and if it actually builds them we'd love to take one for a spin. Experience tells us that getting such a car made is an uphill battle at best, but for the sake of playing along, here are some of the company's claims for the R67. Aviar  says the Mustang EV is "the first electric muscle car with incredible acceleration dynamics and a high level of comfort." OK. It also claims a 0-62 mph time of 2.2 seconds, as well as a top speed of 155 mph. As with most EVs, if this one becomes a reality, those two feats are likely to be mutually exclusive, as top-speed and hard acceleration runs usually drain a battery pack in a hurry. http://shalomcabs.in/http://shalomcabs.in/

2019 HYUNDAI VELOSTER N FIRST TEST REVIEW

2019 HYUNDAI VELOSTER N FIRST TEST REVIEW Hyundai  products' year-over-year progress seems to improve at an exponential rate rather than a linear or incremental one. The step between one generation of a model and its successor is much larger than most manufacturers achieve. Hyundai's quality, dynamics, and even styling seem to skip a generation while advancing a generation. The Veloster is no exception. Of the first-generation Veloster, we said, "When Hyundai gives it the engine it desperately needs and tunes the suspension to deliver the sportiness the exterior suggests, [the Veloster] will be the hottest pocket-rocket in the segment." Well, guess what? For 2019, Hyundai did those things and the Veloster advanced to our  2019 Car of the Year  finalist round.

REFRESHING OR REVOLTING: 2019 HONDA PASSPORT VS. THE COMPETITION

REFRESHING OR REVOLTING: 2019 HONDA PASSPORT VS. THE COMPETITION The new  Honda Passport and Chevrolet Blazer  head to dealerships in early 2019 to challenge established players from  Ford  and  Nissan . Although they've been in the game for a while, the  Ford Edge  and  Nissan Murano  are far from old, as both have been refreshed for 2019. The question is: Which midsize crossover has the most compelling design? Some criticize the  2019 Honda Passport  for looking too similar to the larger Pilot. But there are key design differences, and the most prominent are up front. The Passport features a black grille and bumper for a rugged look. The Blazer's front end is equally bold, borrowing cues from the Camaro. It features slim, Camaro-like headlights that flow into a gaping grille. Take a look at the front end of the Edge, and it looks pretty conventional with an average-sized grille separated from the simple headlights. ST models feature a bolder look with a unique black me

2018 PORSCHE PANAMERA 4 E-HYBRID SPORT TURISMO FIRST TEST

2018 PORSCHE PANAMERA 4 E-HYBRID SPORT TURISMO FIRST TEST By its very definition, no one wins when you compromise. This is especially true if you're a discerning car enthusiast looking for a one-size-fits-all approach to your family car. More often than not, the cars that are most practical aren't particularly fun to drive, but sportier options are neither roomy nor efficient. That equation gets even more complicated once you bring efficiency, fuel costs, and climate change-causing emissions into the equation. Thankfully, it seems some problems are easily solved by throwing money at them—the  2018 Porsche Panamera  E-Hybrid Sport Turismo is the ultimate be-all, end-all family car for the evolved (and let's get this out of the way early—wealthy) car enthusiast. PRACTICALITY You're not going to be able to sell your significant other on a family car if it isn't practical. Riding on the  Volkswagen  Group's MSB platform, the Panamera Sport Turismo shares

5 Exciting upcoming Hero bikes in India - XPulse 200, New Karizma…

5 Exciting upcoming Hero bikes in India - XPulse 200, New Karizma… From the product perspective, Hero MotoCorp has had a decent 2018 as the company launched new models of the Splendor and Passion range of bikes, which were followed by the introduction of the Hero Xtreme 200R and the Destini 125 premium family scooter. However, the company had to push back its most anticipated bike, the Hero XPulse 200. Apart from the ADV, here are a few more bikes that the company plans in the next couple of years. The Hero XPulse 200 made its global premiere at the EICMA last year in Milan, Italy, while it debuted in India at the Auto Expo this year. The entry-level adventure tourer is based on the Hero Xtreme 200R platform and shares the engine, chassis and other components with the naked bike.  The ADV is expected to launch in March 2019 in India . It could be priced around INR 1 lakh (ex-showroom). Although Hero MotoCorp hasn't released the power figures of the XPulse 200, we expect it

SPIED! REFRESHED AUDI Q7 SAVORS WINTER

SPIED! REFRESHED AUDI Q7 SAVORS WINTER It's face-lift time for the  Q7 , which is working hard to keep up with  Audi 's new flagship SUV, the Q8. As we can see in these new photos, the Q7 adopts many sleek design elements from its coupe-like SUV sibling, and we're not complaining. Our spy photographers caught the Q7 and SQ7 cold weather testing recently. Both updated models feature a new grille inspired by the Q8. This new grille consists of vertical slats instead of the horizontal ones we saw on the old model. The white SUV in these photos is the Q7, and the black is the SQ7. The two vehicles feature different vents up front and different exhaust designs in the rear.   VIEW 28 PHOTOS The  second-generation Audi Q7  debuted for the 2017 model year. It debuted  Volkswagen  Group's MLB Evo platform, which incorporates high-strength steel structural elements and aluminum body panels to keep weight down. Audi hasn't announced powertrain options, but our curre

2019 HONDA PILOT ELITE FIRST TEST: STILL IN THE GAME

I had the opportunity to drive the updated Pilot in two distinctly different areas: in my hometown of Los Angeles and on the streets of Atlanta, Georgia. You see, back in October I flew with my family to Atlanta for my sister-in-law's wedding. Like us, many of the guests were from out of town and needed rides to and from the venue. Honda was nice enough to loan me a refreshed 2019 Pilot for exactly that purpose, and later sent one to our office so we could test it. Both testers were identically equipped  2019 Honda Pilot  Elite AWD models, loaded with such standard features as a leather interior, heated front and second-row seats, premium 10-speaker audio system, updated touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, Wi-Fi hotspot capability, a Blu-ray rear-seat entertainment system, wireless phone charger, and more. For 2019, the Honda Sensing suite of advanced safety features, including forward collision warning with automatic

2020 HYUNDAI PALISADE FIRST DRIVE: FAREWELL SANTA FE XL

2020 HYUNDAI PALISADE FIRST DRIVE: FAREWELL SANTA FE XL Hyundai  offered a long-wheelbase Santa Fe for years, but  as we found in our 2017 First Test , the three-row model was more of a two-row crossover with a pair of rear jump seats, not a minivan substitute. To comfortably fit six adult-sized passengers, it didn't simply need to be longer. It needed to be wider, as well. To fix that problem, Hyundai developed an entirely new model: the 2020 Palisade. Thanks to its larger size, the   Hyundai Palisade   serves as a more direct competitor for other three-row crossovers such as the   Honda Pilot ,   Subaru   Accent, and   Volkswagen Atlas . Of those three, only the Atlas has a longer wheelbase. And although the Palisade is only wider than the Subaru, it's not much narrower than the other two. It's also 3 inches longer overall than the Santa Fe XL it replaces. Most important, whether you opt for the seven- or eight-passenger Palisade, the third row now has enough room t

HYUNDAI SANTA FE DEBUTS FINGERPRINT RECOGNITION TECHNOLOGY

HYUNDAI SANTA FE DEBUTS FINGERPRINT RECOGNITION TECHNOLOGY Forget car keys.  Hyundai  is rolling out technology that will allow drivers to unlock and start their vehicle using only their fingerprint. The feature will debut on the new  Hyundai Santa Fe  that's coming to China in the first quarter of 2019. We don't whether or not to expect the feature on our  recently redesigned Santa Fe  here in the U.S. But  Hyundai  confirms it's working on plans to roll out the feature in markets outside China and in other models. To unlock the Santa Fe, drivers place a finger on the sensor located on the door handle. A controller inside the vehicle recognizes the encrypted information. To start the ignition, drivers will have to scan their fingerprint once again, this time on the ignition button. Once the car has your fingerprints, it will automatically adjust the seats, side mirrors, and connected car features to your preferences. "In the future, Hyundai Motor plans to f
